Apex Presents - Local Spotlight: Wolvsun

Featured this week is a very close friend to Apex Presents and Electronic Anything, WOLVSUN! Originally from Puerto Rico, Rafael Pagan has called Miami home for the past two years. After playing at this years Life In Color and opening for many of the industries biggest names, he has put himself on the map as a serious player in the future of dance music in South Florida.

Over a decade of DJing, and 3 years of production has brought him to this point in his career. He has always been drawn to house & bass music, but his years of involvement in this industry has exposed him to almost everything that the scene has to offer. His biggest influences to date have been Rob Swire (Pendulum/Knife Party), Dyro, Zomboy, Skrillex, Jauz, Borgore, and GTA because of their unique style and diverse taste in music. If there's one thing that's for sure, Wolvsun has a genuine love for dance music and the dance music community.

Over the past few months Wolvsun has performed at several South Florida shows playing alongside Ookay, Bear Grillz, Yellow Claw, and many of South Florida's finest producers & DJs. His goal is to one day make it on to the festival circuit where he can share his love for electronic music with the world, especially with his family & friends back in Puerto Rico. Check out his live set from the Bear Grillz show a few weeks back, and follow his social media accounts so you can be sure to catch his next Miami show!

Apex Presents - Local Spotlight: SNOOKO

Every week it's so difficult to choose an artist to spotlight because there is so much to talk about when it comes to local talent in South Florida. This week's feature is Miami's own SNOOKO! If you've been to any of recent Apex Presents shows then you've probably heard that name before. What started as a hobby has turned into quite the movement in 2016 for this young Producer/DJ.

Born and raised in South Florida, Eric Jimenez aka Snooko, is not just your average college student. For years he has followed his passion to create and mix electronic dance music. His desire to jump into the dance music scene was sparked in sixth grade when he first heard Skrillex's "Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites". While dubstep will always hold a soft spot in his heart, he is a fan of a multitude of different styles & genres of electronic music. Doctor P, Bassnectar, Jauz, and Flume have been his biggest sources of musical inspiration.

Check out his "What's a Snooko? #1" mix below for a little taste of what you can expect to hear from a Snooko performance!

This year started out huge for Eric who was asked to play a nighttime set at Life In Color: Miami. In the months following, he has carried the momentum from dominating his first big festival set. He absolutely crushed his opening set for DJ 4B at Club Space and his support set for Trollphace is still being talked about by attendees! His high energy song selection and wicked mixing seems to captivate every audience he has the opportunity to play in front of.

This weekend is a very special weekend for Snooko. Not only is he booked to play a b2b set w/ fellow Miami local Loky at the OFFICIAL 'Journey To SMF' Miami party with Ookay, but he is also celebrating his 19th Birthday! Tickets are flying for this show so be sure to get yours ASAP at LevelSaturdays.com if you and your squad want to attend.

You're definitely going to want to check out this hilarious hype video he put together as a preview for this Saturday.

Apex Presents - Local Spotlight: Katustrophix

As I mentioned last week, Electronic Anything & Apex Presents will be working together to shine a light on some of our favorite local South Florida talent. This week we are thrilled to introduce to you Katustrophix!

Hailing from West Palm Beach, Katustrophix is the perfect representation of what it means to represent South Florida with style! His specialty lies in reading a crowd, and he plays anything from chill deep house to the heaviest bass music. Jauz, Tchami, Lookas, Malaa, Valentino Khan, & The Chainsmokers are a few of his favorite artists dominating the dance music scene at the moment.

Check out his set from the Crizzly show at Heart Nightclub last month for a taste at what his live performances sound like.!

Over the past two and a half years, he has made his name known among the electronic music community in Florida. Earlier in 2016 he dominated one of the stages at Life In Color Miami, and was also offered a residency at Heart, one of Miami's premiere nightclubs. He's already booked on some huge shows over the next coming months, so definitely keep your eyes peeled for the name "Katustrophix" in the near future.

His first ever major gig was opening for Zeds Dead at Club Cinema back in 2014, and this weekend he is back at Cinema playing Maydaze 2016 alongside Brillz, Kayzo, Rain Man, and so many more! If you haven't heard about Maydaze yet, I highly recommend grabbing your tickets now. This is without a doubt going to be one of the biggest parties of the Summer in South Florida!

Check out the trailer below and buy your tickets NOW before they run out at www.Maydaze2016.com.

I am proud to announce that Electronic Anything & Apex Presents are partnering to shine light on some of our favorite locals who have been making an impact on the electronic music scene. Every Friday we will be working together to share some of the best local talent that South Florida has to offer.

For our first ever 'Local Spotlight' we want to share with you a duo that we have been following for several months. Bonnie X Clyde, a unique DJ/Producer/Vocalist pair, have taken the underground electronic music scene by storm. Since their debut back in the summer of 2015, they have released multiple viral tracks including the viral hit "Rise Above" which garnered MILLIONS of plays online.

Originally from Fairfax, Virginia, the duo has called Miami home for the past five years and we are so proud to call them South Florida locals. Earlier this month they released an original tune "Where It Hurts", and just this week they released their official collaboration with Clips X Ahoy called "Worth It". Check out the official music video for "Worth It" below, which includes a recap from their recent Florida Tour.
