[5-17-15] Music Update

Mysteryland USA Artist Spotlight - ADAM BEYER -

DRUMCODE is keeping up the refined techno sound that they're known for, going strong throughout 2015. Head-honcho Adam Beyer delivers the next release with his new four track EP 'Stone Flower', out now on Drumcode Records. The release follows a monumental 2014 year from the "master of techno" as Mixmag has named him, which included two singles on the Drumcode A-sides compilations, a multitude of releases on different labels such as Truesoul and Crosstown Rebels, a seven hour live broadcast from Awakenings Festival, ten shows in Ibiza for Carl Cox, Cocoon and Enter as well as an incredibly busy show circuit across the world.

These four tracks are deep and almost melancholic in their approach to techno, using effects to really help enforce an ambience only Beyer can achieve within his productions. The underlying throbbing of the drums drives this EP into the forfront of the heads down Drumcode sound and have been heard in many of Beyer's phenomenal sets throughout the year.

Coming up there are a multitude of Drumcode parties around the world including the US as Adam does double duty in a New York takeover May 24th during Memorial Day Weekend. He will host the Adam Beyer Presents Drumcode stage at Mysteryland USA in Bethel, New York on the original 1969 Woodstock grounds and then sets his sights on Brooklyn's Verboten which has been dubbed "Williamsburg's newest music mecca" by Rolling Stone. Adam Beyer is back on Drumcode with an impressive array of tracks that will get the senses tingling and show us what Drumcode is all about.

Mysteryland USA Artist Spotlight - CLAPTONE -

Playing the BRAND NEW Mysteryland Main Stage next weekend on Saturday from 6:20 - 7:20 PM, Claptone is one of the most buzzed about artists at the moment. His recent BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix debut has generated all sorts of praise from both fans and media for its eclectic tracklisting and exclusive remixes and edits. His dominance over the Beatport charts continues with his remix of Gregory Porter's "Liquid Spirit" which spent weeks in the number one spot.

Mysteryland USA Camping Checklist

This list should cover most of the basics & essentials you need to bring with you to Mysteryland, but if there is anything you think I should add just leave a comment on this post and I will get to it ASAP!

WRISTBAND (THIS IS YOUR TICKET!!!)
IDENTIFICATION
MONEY
TENT LOCK
DIRECTIONS

For On-Site Lodging:

Tent: Try for one meant for at least 1 more person than will actually be using it to ensure room for your stuff.
Tarp: No one likes to wake up in a puddle!
Sleeping Bag/Mattress Pad: To help get a better nights sleep :]
Pillow: Take care of your back and neck!
Head Lamps: You don't want to be the person who falls onto someones tent at night haha
Camping Lanterns: You'll thank yourself later lol
Fold-up Chairs: Your feet will thank you!
A Cooler: or maybe even two! (One for food, one for beverages)!
Flag/Tapestry/Eye Catching Object: MARK YOUR CAMPSITE! It will help you and your friends find your way back all weekend!
Extra Blankets/Towels: Useful when it gets cool at night and to sit on during the day to give yourself a break.

So you'll be comfortable:

Extra Socks: Wet socks are the WORST!
Sunscreen/Hat/Sunglasses: It is summer after all! Don't risk getting burnt!
Sweatshirt/Sweatpants: IT WILL GET CHILLY! Bring several pairs of warmer clothes for nighttime!
Rain Jacket: I know you don't want to jinx it, but its better to be safe than sorry!
Solar Camping Shower: Also called a shower in a bag, these 5 gallon water containers will save you a lot of time waiting in shower lines.
